Meet Sarah Mardell and Melanie Bates, Owners of Virtual Assistants to Powerful Women (& a Few Kick-Ass Men)

It's a family business! We are a sister-in-law team living in a rural farm town in Fairview Utah. If you sneeze, you might miss it, but we love living in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is why we work online - so we can serve our clients and work from anywhere.

Melanie, dubbed 'book shaman' by her clients, is a Writing Coach, certified Equus Coach & Life Coach, helping clients to write their books and grow their big dreams—whether in business or in life.

Sarah, a lover of all things entrepreneur, helps run a global online Artist company, and with her husband runs two successful restaurants. She is a mom to 5 girls and has 10 years of online marketing experience.

Melanie began Virtual Assistants to Powerful Women in 2009 and hired Sarah in 2012, but Sarah's invaluable knowledge and savvy in marketing and leadership led to our sister-in-law biz partnership starting in 2014. It was truly a match made in entrepreneurial heaven. Clients were referred to us solely by word of mouth, and our business grew. Soon we were adding more team members to accommodate the growing needs of our clients.
